A Little Back-story......
I can recall the feeling of the weight of my first camera in my hands - a Praktica SLR. I'm guessing now, that I was about 17. It felt like a tool to be used for something I did not quite understand other than to create something that I could call my own. I knew how to use a hammer and saw, a shovel and pick, a shotgun and fishing rod - all a means to an end as tools but a camera was way out there for me. It felt good to capture an image of something at a point in time - the feeling was excitement and pure pleasure in the creative activity - distinctly different from all the other tools that, at first, I was more familiar with.

First a hobby, then a freelancer, then a family documenter of sorts....then a very long period of not much beyond reflecting how it felt to press a shutter release. I did miss it but life had other competing priorities - it could wait a while. The digital age transformed the taking of and processing of images in a manner that seemed daunting and insurmountable....but I pressed on. I am intent on focusing on the product and less about the how.

This website, its' creation, is yet another personal 'advancement' on the ever-advancing technology train we all ride on and if there's any discomfort its' more about me putting my imagery on public display than it is about fretting over the creation of a webpage!!

My goal is to share imagery of what it means to be me through the eye of a lens. What one sees as output is only to share the enquiry behind the taking of that image. No one may 'see' what I see but I offer a perspective from my vantage point. The 'why' behind each image or series may be perceived differently by each of us but isn't the jig just that? The why???

This will be an evolving site...bear with me. I have no plan than just to share some examples from my assembly of 30, 000+ images
